Subject: SpringfieldRaceway Getting Ready For 3rd Annual Turkey Classic
Springfield,Mo.-The 2009 Southwest Missouri Racing season will officially come to an end on Sat November 28th with the running of the 3rd annual Turkey Classic at the quick-quarter of the SpringfieldRaceway.
This seasons racing card is just a bit different than the previous two seasons.This year Open LateModels will headline the racing card with a $2,000 to win and $200 to start feature event.The rules will be under the MARS Super LateModel rules with tires being Hoosier WRS D55's or LM40's.Show-Me LateModels will recieve their weight break and bigger spoiler for this event.This is the first year that Latemodels have been placed on the Turkey Classic card and it should be a quality field of cars attempting to make the 20 car feature.LateModel Entry Fee is $70 and it will pay $70 to B feature starters who don't make a A feature.
Also on the racing card that afternoon will be A-mods competing for a $1000 to win and $125 to start the Main event with a $50 entry fee.The quick-quarter has played to some of the classic A-Mod feature events this past season.B features will pay $50 to those who don't make the feature event.
The ever growing popular SportMod class will also be competing for a $400 to win and $50 to start Main Event.SpringfieldRaceway rules will apply for the SportMods.There is No entry fee is set for the SportMods with B feature drivers recieving $35 to start the B features who don't advance to the A Feature.LegendCars will also be competing for a $300 to win event with drivers recieving $35 to start the feature.
Pitpasses will be $35 with the pitgates opening at 10AM.Hotlaps are slated for 1PM with Racing at 2PM.Passing points will be used to determine the line-ups and draw will cut-off at 1:15.Drivers arriving after that will be placed at the rear of a heatrace with no passing points being given.
Grandstand Admission will be $15 for Adults with kids 6-12 $5 and under 6 Free.Raindate is set for Sunday Afternoon November 29th with starting times the same.
